I got very ill on princess cruise ship Golden. It was a ** day to Alaska Round trip from Los Angeles.The carpeting was water stained from the front door to the balcony. I asked * different people to replace the carpet to no avail. As the trip went on I felt more ill each day. Dizzy weakness, inflamed tongue and mouth.I lost ** pounds during the ordeal. I feared that I had cancer or something as serious. I laid in bed **% of the time.Onm arrival back in L A I had to sit in a wheel chair to disembark. *-**-** to *-**. The very next day I started my medical quest to find out what was the cause. After trips to * specialists with no explanation I became more frantic considering hospitalization. I went to my allergist for a routine injection. I took pictures of the damaged room carpet and he decided to do a mold skin test The results came up highly allergic to mold. He sent me immediately for blood work which came back Highly allergic to all mold, Finally I got my answer!. I immediately contacted Princess Cruise Lines in Santa Clarita, CA. They wanted to get back to me in * to * weeks.Iloudly protested and they cut it down to * weeks. Their claims dept. denied any carpet damage and insinuated that my claim was unfounded, Long story longer, I sent a packet of medical records, doctor reports and most important, an *x** photo of the moldy carpet which by the way extended to under my bed that I slept the whole ** days. The letters were sent to the Customer Care, Claims, and to the President of Princess Cruise Lines. This was my **nd cruise with princess. I am asking for the full cruise fare for the room of $ *,*** and compensation For all of the physical and emotional pain and suffering that I have endured. The claims deportment offered $***.** dollars towards a future cruise. **** NO !! It took * months to being able to return to my daily routines.I recently retired from ** years as an elementary teacher during which I taught hundreds of children Right from Wrong. This treatment from Princess is deffinitly WRONG. I have all the documentation that I can send you. Thank YOU, and I hope you can help.
