Called the AARP number to get information. Gave them my zip code...and an aggressive voice immediately said they would be sending a "new membership card in so many days." That was not my question. I called back and was told by the auto aggressive voice that "I would be getting a new membership card"....which I didn't ask for. Pressed * and I was told again by Mr. Aggression that, "I would be getting a new membership card". My question, for which I could not find an answer, was this: If one has AARP insurance, does that automatically entitle you to a free membership in AARP?
GetHuman-bmierisc did not yet indicate what AARP should do to make this right.

It was not fixed. The method of attempting to get it fixed by humans was so complex, I ended up pushing the wrong button. IT WAS NOT FIXED. My issue was so simple. My questions was this: "If you have AARP supplementary health insurance, does that automatically entitle you to AARP membership?" The answer could have been "Yes" or "No". I still do not know.
