A note from Paul English, November 2006:
From its inception, the gethuman movement has been an all-volunteer
effort to improve the lamentable state of present day telephone
customer service. I established and maintain the gethuman website as
a free service to consumers.
Like the many volunteers who have assisted in the movement, my work
with gethuman has been completely uncompensated and I have not sought
to profit by my involvement in any way. We have attempted to be a
voice of the consumer that is entirely independent of the suppliers of
telephone self-service.
The gethuman movement has recently introduced the gethuman standard. Our recent testing for
compliance indicated that very, very, few of the organizations that
are listed in the
gethuman database are in compliance with the
gethuman standard.
To assist enterprises in achieving gethuman compliance
certification, I would like to recommend the services of two
particular volunteers. As advisors and major contributors in defining
the gethuman standard, Walt Tetschner and Walter Rolandi are uniquely
qualified to assist companies seeking to become gethuman compliant.
They offer a valuable and inexpensive gethuman evaluation service for
a modest, expense-covering fee. For more information, please
