What are the hours and when should I call?

Whirlpool operates the call center for this 866-698-2538 phone number Mon-Tues 8am-8pm, Wed-Fri 9am-7pm,. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 176 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Whirlpool phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Whirlpool staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call Whirlpool is Wednesday. The most busy day to call is Monday, which averages 214% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 176 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The best time to call

My Experience Calling 866-698-2538

Nov 10, 2023

Customers most often call Whirlpool to obtain assistance with ordering appliance parts, scheduling service, registering a product or checking the status of an order. Upon calling, the automated system directs you to remain on the line for English or to press 1 for Spanish. I was initially required to enter my phone number to see if Whirlpool had my account on file. After two entries, the system determined there wasn't a match with Whirlpool’s records. Instead, I was given a menu of options ranging from order status and parts purchase to service and support.

Knowing that I wanted to get information about new refrigerators, I chose the option for orders to see if I could be directed to someone in sales. However, the automated choice asked for information regarding my order number, which I didn’t have. I pressed 0 twice to be directed back to the main menu or to a representative.

After a short wait, I was connected with a customer care representative who was able to send me to the appropriate department for sales and appliances. This was a longer wait, at least five to six minutes, but a different representative finally answered. I explained what I was looking for and asked about any special deals on new refrigerators. The rep asked if I had any models or price ranges in mind, suggesting I search Whirlpool’s website while on the phone with him.

This was a helpful tip, so I opened their website and noticed a few models that would fit my budget. The rep shared that some early Black Friday deals were already available if I was interested in purchasing an appliance before the holiday shopping rush begins. Signing up online to receive emails from Whirlpool also gives you a 5 percent discount on any future sale. In addition, he shared some of Whirlpool’s financing and payment options that may be beneficial with a large appliance purchase.

Once I decided on a few refrigerator choices, the rep suggested I visit a local store if I needed to see them in person. While Whirlpool doesn’t have its own store, its appliances are sold locally in Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowe’s. These retailers are just a few miles away from my home, so I thanked the rep for this suggestion. However, he recommended I make my purchase online or over the phone to take advantage of the current deals. He also explained the shipping and delivery process, which would ensure the product's safe arrival directly to my door.

Overall, it was a helpful experience connecting with a customer representative who was knowledgeable and patient in guiding me toward the right appliance. Though, I think it's best to go online first to better understand what you’re looking for before calling. The service line is also available 24/7 to check your order status or set up a service appointment.

Use this link to connect with customer service through Facebook
Some customer service teams, like that of Whirlpool, accept inquiries through Facebook Messenger. This is a good option if you have a Facebook account, and you may even be able to converse live with an agent this way.
Whirlpool's website
Online Help - Customer Service
Online customer service submission form
As a last, sometimes only, resort- Whirlpool customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team, and rarely leads to a real-time conversation, which is why GetHuman does not recommend this unless it's the only way.
