My Experience Calling 888-624-8140

Calling Wendy's is completely ineffective outside of business hours on weekdays, as the company does not offer any kind of automated system or any kind of assistance with the number in these situations. In order to make a call to Wendy's, you must call between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. No Saturday or Sunday calls are accepted.

If you call at a time when Wendy's isn't open, you won't have any kind of ability to speak to anyone or ask the automated system for information. You'll be told that the hours of operation are what they are, and you'll be encouraged to visit the website for Wendy's to get assistance that way. After letting you know that you can go online to get assistance at any point, the system will automatically end the call.

There's no automated system of any kind except for the automated message letting you know that nobody is available to assist you. You won't be able to make any choices or ask the system for information. If you have a complaint on a weekend day, you have to wait until Monday to address it by phone.

Based on this, my view of this call was that even though it was unhelpful, at least it didn't waste any time. The system makes no attempt to pretend it can offer any help or take you through a menu. It simply gives you the information and ends the call. Based on this interaction, I would make sure to call within hours, but I would use this number for assistance, as the no-nonsense manner appeals to me.
