In fact, much of this information on this page is superfluous because this KitchenAid phone number is a direct line to a human being. The line is well-staffed and you should anticipate a very short wait on hold or none whatsoever, as long as you are calling during business hours.
We don't know of any phone menus you would encounter when calling either.

What are the hours and when should I call?

KitchenAid operates the call center for this 800-422-1230 phone number Mon-Tue 8am-8pm, Wed-Fri 9am-7pm. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 77 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this KitchenAid phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like KitchenAid staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.
The least busy time to call
The least busy day to call KitchenAid is Wednesday. The most busy day to call is Monday, which averages 120% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 77 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The best time to call
In summation, the best day to call KitchenAid is Wednesday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that KitchenAid staffs the call center well on Wednesday.
Once again, please put this information in perspective because this phone number has no phone menu or long waits. It generally gets picked up right away if calling during their opening hours. If there is any way, it will typically be very short.

My Experience Calling 800-422-1230

Dec 26, 2023

When calling KitchenAid for customer service or product information, callers should be prepared to spend time on the phone navigating the various options. I called KitchenAid to speak with a representative about a new gas range and it took nearly 15 minutes to wade through the automated menus and connect with a representative.

Callers are given two options when the automated system begins: press 1 for help with major appliances or 2 for countertop/small appliances. I chose 1 since I wanted to discuss potential gas ranges. After this, the recording tells callers to press 1 for Spanish or stay on the line for English. I was next given a menu of choices including service/product help, ordering parts, order assistance, warranty help or product registration. I was also told to press 0 to repeat the menu and needed to do this once.

After I figured out I needed to speak with someone regarding product help, I selected that choice and waited while another recording informed me that 24-hour online service is available at Whirlpool's website. A quick online search revealed that KitchenAid is owned by Whirlpool, a fact I didn't know. In addition, the automated system also reminded me that scheduling appliance service is only advisable for those who haven't been exposed to and/or experienced Covid-19 symptoms within the last 5 days.

At this point in the call, I was given the option to choose product support based on either a product I've already purchased or one I wanted to purchase. I went with the latter and waited on the phone to be connected to a representative. However, I was prompted to enter in my phone number, which wasn't found in the system. This makes sense as I hadn't purchased anything from KitchenAid.

I was put on a brief hold as the automated system reported that I was being directed to the appropriate department. After a five-minute wait, I was finally connected to a representative who asked how she could help me. Explaining that I was considering a new gas range, the rep asked me questions regarding my budget, the type of range I currently have and the reason for seeking a new one. As I shared that my gas stove is aging and would need to be replaced soon, the rep directed me to KitchenAid's website to consider a few options available. She explained that as a new customer, I could take advantage of discounts on large appliances.

Most online orders over a specific price qualify for free shipping, the rep let me know, but I could also visit local retailers to see the gas range in person and purchase there. This seemed like a better option and she provided a list of a few stores nearby. However, she advised me to consider an online purchase directly from KitchenAid as I may get a better deal. I appreciated the rep's help and recommendations without any pressure to make an immediate decision.

Some customer service teams, like that of KitchenAid, accept inquiries through Facebook Messenger. This is a good option if you have a Facebook account, and you may even be able to converse live with an agent this way.
KitchenAid's website
As a last, sometimes only, resort- KitchenAid customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team, and rarely leads to a real-time conversation, which is why GetHuman does not recommend this unless it's the only way.
