This isn't good. Zappos, one of the best companies in the world in terms of customer service has been hacked. The company announced that a hacker has stolen personal information of up to 24 million customers. While the good news is that credit card information wasn't compromised, the hackers were able to take users names, addresses, email addresses and the last four digits of user's credit cards. The company is obviously aware of the issue and is strongly encouraging users to change their username and passwords on the company website. It's a shame that a company that is so strong in customer service is now the victim in the latest string of company hacks. As always, when users have their personal information compromised, it's best to take every precaution, even if you don't think it applies to you. Change your password on the site and monitor your credit card use. While the company claims that credit card information wasn't taken, it doesn't take much to watch your credit card statement and report any unknown charges to both Zappos and your credit card company as soon as you notice them. As always, in cases like these, you better heir on the side of caution, so contact the company using one of our GetHuman numbers to get in touch with the company for some piece of mind or help if it's required.
