In a recent survey conducted by StellaService,
Zappos received top billing as having the best customer service for an online retailer. According to the report that used 300 different metrics to determine the top customer service,
Zappos received a score of 88 out of 100, narrowly edging out Diapers.com. Also on the list were Blue Nile,
Staples,
Amazon.com and
L.L. Bean.
While it seems there are a bevy of different customer service companies conducting their own rankings, seemingly every month, this report claims that customers would be willing to pay a premium of 9.7% for great customer service. Even more interesting, is that online retailers feel consumers would pay a premium of 10.7% for quality service. While most
GetHuman.com readers already knew this, it is interesting to see that kind of premium quantified from both the customer and retailer standpoints.
