This may not come as great a shock to some of you as it did to me, but,
Hyundai is quickly becoming one of the most preferred brands to customers. The car maker has placed 6th on the Brand Keys Loyalty Leaders List in 2010. While car makers such as Toyota and Nissan have suffered serious brand set backs, the ensuing lack of loyalty to the companies has opened the door for
Hyundai to rocket up the standings. No longer the brunt of bad car jokes,
Hyundai has enjoyed success with it's i45 and ix35 models, allowing the company to vault from it's 295th ranking in 2008, all the way to 6th in 2010. Amazing.
We say it all the time but it bares noting, the foundation to every successful company is in it's brand loyalty, and a big part of brand loyalty lies in providing solid products and solid customer service. Kudos to the
Hyundai management team that has been able to turn the brand around, as evidenced by the company's highest ranking ever out of the 501 companies listed. Clearly
Hyundai understands that a solid and successful business can come from keeping customers happy. If you keep them happy, they'll keep coming back for more. It's that simple. Are we watching the pendulum swing from Toyota and Nissan? Probably not, but in a year that has been marred by company recalls and faulty products, it's nice to see a company that clearly understands that the customer knows best.
