United Parcel Service (UPS) Tip from alhaja

“I live in a duplex, but my address is just a street number, no apartment number or anything. We get packages all the time and we've never had trouble, but for unknown reasons, tonight when I got home my package wasn't there and the tracking page said, "THE APARTMENT NUMBER IS MISSING OR IS INCORRECT. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION." So I though, okay, I'll call them and see if I can expedite that... The first 5 times I called, after the system got to the point where I was going to be put on hold to wait for a representative, the recording told me that due to extremely large call volume they couldn't take my call, pointed me in the direction of their webpage (which I'd already tried), and then hung up on me. The 6th time, I waited on hold for over 25 minutes. Finally, a woman came on the line and I explained the situation. She told me that she'd take the information down, pass it on and they'd contact me about it by Monday. Offering me a pickup location that's open only 9-5:30 weekdays isn't much more helpful. ”
