<summary type="html" ><![CDATA[Progress Energy (Carolinas) tip: It burns me up to know that they only power company that is available to local residents treats people the way they do. New mind the rate increases, I somewhat understand that, it's simply called inflation. But my biggest issue is after all the that money we spend month after month when you run into hard times they will not offer any type of repayment options other than balance in full y a date of their choosing! Even if you only need a few extra days past the date they want their money, they will not give you that time. Then the so call power commission or what ever their name is doesn't do any better! They tell you to call them if you're unable to satisfy your balance on progress energy's terms but turn around and offer you some bogus arrangement that as per one of their representative, and I quote "Most people are unable to accept the arrangements we offer because of how their pay dates fall vs the bill due dates" How crazy is that! They set you up on an arrangement that involves you paying your bill + the arranged amount by your normal due dates and you can not back out of the arrangement unless you pay the balance in full. Honesty, it somewhat makes since, they want there money. But they set the arrangement on their terms and that's it! There's more but I'm sick of typing!]]></summary>
