<summary type="html" ><![CDATA[Nicor tip: nicor is very unprofessional as far as their appointments are concerned. they harassed me about a meter reading because i work durning their hours. i took the day off and had window frame 8 to 12. 12:50 and they have not shown. customer sevice is of no help they say "our guys have 500 meters to read and we just give a window but its not guaranteed. maybe the government needs to regulate nicor like they do the phone company.(cub)]]></summary>

Comments from customer: The voice recognition system Nicor uses didn't recognize "other" no matter how clear or loud I said it. I kept pushing 0 until got a prompt that put me into a wait line. Previous instructions may be out-of-date in Nicor has caught onto this method you published.]]></summary>

<summary type="html" ><![CDATA[Nicor tip: Had to turn on the service at a foreclosed home in order to sell it for the bank.  They gave us a four hour window from 12 till 4.  Agent went there at 11:15 am and still no one came durning that time.  She called at 3 and again at 4, they said someone would still be coming.  At 6:30pm she left.  This was a very warm day and she sat in her car without being able to eat or use a bathroom for those 7 hours. Next day when we called they told us they went there at 8:45 PM and no one was there. Also said that the report does not show anyone called in to check on if someone was coming or not.  Nicor did have her cell phone but who cared?  At least this was a safe area to be in. Nicor is run by jerks!]]></summary>

<summary type="html" ><![CDATA[Nicor tip: Nicor is completely unprofessional and unreliable.  I work during their "normal business hours" so, after being hounded to schedule a meter reading, I took a day off in order to accomodate THEM, within a "four hour window" (8-12 am).  No one came and my calls to Nicor customer "service" were met with insouciance and "When would you like to schedule a reading, Monday through Friday..." I took a DAY OFF TO ACCOMODATE YOU, IDIOT!  I am so angry I could file a lawsuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]]></summary>
