Hughesnet rating from customer: 1.0 out of 5: Horrible. Comments from customer: I've had hughesnet over a year and this is first time to use technical support. Its so rediculous. Its been 5 days now and my issues of slow web page browsing is still not resolved. Everytime I call tech support I get new case number, I am told someone will call me back on certain day and no one does and I am still under contract until end of 2010. I cant stand them, they lie about their great service.

Hughesnet rating from customer: 1.0 out of 5: Horrible. Comments from customer: as a new hughes net customer, i expected good service. when i couldn't see my account details, i tried contacting them. technical support said it wasn't their issue, it was accounting. accounting said it was technical. i tried chatting but was unable to input any characters after inputting my name. technical support continues to be a bad joke. the people talk as though they don't understand their system or they don't understand english. i was specific when i texted in my system details and issues. instead i got one phrase responses such as 'cannot use explorer 8.' technical requests for more information get 'too complicated. use chat'. when i called -- twice -- i got someone who was reading from some sheet but not answering my questions with technical information. to be honest, while i don't like windows, i wish microsoft had a satellite internet system because whenever you have any kind of technical problem, you get an accurate technical response within 24 hours which actually does th

Hughesnet rating from customer: 1.0 out of 5: Horrible. Comments from customer: I have not had internet service since September, this is now November, I have 10 case numbers from phone calls to Hughes nest and 3 technical support visits, yet they tell me I cannot cancel my service without reasonable attempts to fix the problem, what do they consider reasonable? who knows, they are reading their "help" information from a manual and have no technical education or experience anyway. One will transfer you to level 3 service but the next will refuse to do so. I guess it is time to involve the lawyers and the BBB in this one.

Hughesnet rating from customer: 1.0 out of 5: Horrible. Comments from customer: Was trying to cancel service. Relocating to a different state. Had 5 mo's remaining on a contract that I did not know existed but did not dispute. Long time customer. Was told $300.00 as a penalty for early cancellation. Asked to downgrade service, then cancel. Went upline to one supervisor who refused to negotiate or transfer me to her supervisor or cancel under lower plan. Asserted she had no authority to negotiate. When asked where Hughes Net headquarters was located, she responded "United States". When pressed she said she only knew the "city" which was Maryland!!
I wasted 30+min of my day with no satisfaction, after putting us with sub-par intenet connection for years.
Thanks HughesNet!!

Hughesnet rating from customer: 1.0 out of 5: Horrible. Comments from customer: The accent is so bad you always are asking them to repeat themselves. I have hung up and called back in hopes of getting someone I can understand. They trouble shoot with a script and are often unable to fix a problem. I have complained to the FCC asking that their license to use radio bandwidth be revoked due to bad service.

Hughesnet tip: I have had this service for two months. It is the not as good as a dial up server. I keep getting error messages and try again, but you loose all of your message and you have to start over.

I'm starting to think a class action lawsuite might just get them to update their service and phone system for customers.

To sale a service and enter into a contrat with anyone, you have to exchange service for money. If service is not forth coming, then your contract is subject to becoming nul-and-vold. Failure to provide the service is the bases for a law suite in this case.
