“My score was down graded (I had OVER 800) because I opened a savings account at my local bank!!! When the bank checked my credit, just to make sure I was who I said I was, Equifax lowered my score to UNDER 800!!! That was the ONLY "Hard Hit" on my credit score info for well over 1 year! I had been hoping to get a new car confident of meeting and exceeding any required parameters which, in truth, I still do however - that's going to put another "Hard Hit" on my score lowering it again. Whe I called Equifax to complain about being "punished" for trying to be a good and conscientious consumer, they said that there is nothing they will do about raising it back up - it simply is what it is!!!”
