Dell Tech Support Tip from anguscat

“Called Dell for trouble with my new printer Dell V505W...I was transfered from USA to Canada, then to technical support. The rep had to read instructions while I waited...His English not great, highly accented (from India?). Long story short...after about 12 hours on the phone, over about one month, with 4 other calls to technical help, including the final call to customer service where I was transfered back to tech support again AGAINST my wishes... I was eventually sent 2 (!) replacement Dell V505W replacement printers...EACH one had EXACTLY the same problem (paper jam). I called again Dell tech support, was escalated to a manager. I agreed to another (!) printer but this time a different model: the Dell 968. I kept my same contract terms and did not ask for any refund or any compensation. I received the Dell 968...it was REFURBISHED!! with no power adapter, no power cord, no disk to upload the driver, no ink cartridges. I called again Dell, and returned this Dell 968 the same day. ”
