<title>Citi: Yep, We've Been Hacked</title>

<summary type="html" ><![CDATA[Be advised those of you with <a href="/Citi_Cards-customer-service_187.html">Citi Cards</a>, there's a chance some of your personal information has been compromised due to a security breach.  <a href="/Citi_Cards-customer-service_187.html">Citi Cards</a> admitted today that 1% of it's North American customer base had some of their information stolen due to the breach.  With over 21 million credit card accounts, that amounts to hundreds of thousands of compromised accounts and information.  The hackers were able to obtain users names, account numbers and email addresses, but they were not able to gain access to the customer's social security numbers.  According to the company, they are contacting the customers whose information was stolen in order to let them know, offer them new credit cards, and reassure them that they anti-fraud protection that comes with the card should be enough to keep them safe.  As always contact the company directly with any questions, concerns or if you notice strange behavior on your account.  With all of these data breaches at Sony, Gmail and now <a href="/Citi_Cards-customer-service_187.html">Citi Cards</a> you can never be too safe.
