Bank of America Tip from Oct 23, 2009

“now I can't even cash my husbands paycheck despite having CDs over $28,000 and savings and checking accounts at this bank. I was told today that they no longer cash third party checks and that the check is not from Bank of America. No it was from M&T Bank and there is no M&T Bank located in Virginia Beach. It's a good thing there is not, because I'd transfer my money there in a heart beat. So Basically what I'm supposed to do is go to another bank, cash my check there and then bring CASH back to Bank of America as a deposit into my account. Pretty lame. So obviously I am now looking for a bank that will be happy to cash mine and my husbands paychecks and take my deposit. I was told 3 times "it is subject to the bank manager's approval". Well I guess that bank manager doesn't want my business. I was told my husband would need to be there in order for them to cash his check. ”
