<summary type="html" ><![CDATA[America Online rating from customer: 3.0 out of 5: Average.  Comments from customer: Did not reach a person because we have the FREE account with no live help. We use this account for backup only. Could not access account holder email even with a stored password. However, was able to reach the automated man who assigned a new password. Worked like a charm.]]></summary>

Comments from customer: I have been a loyal AOL customer for 12 years, paid my account on time every month, never once had  complaint until Sept. 2009 when I had extra charges taken out of my bank account. I could not find a phone number to call, so I went to the live chat section. After much debate, I finally got a phone #. I called and the person I spke with said I had gone over MY dial up minutes. I said that was impossible, that I had broadband and I was the ONLY person that used this computer. They basically told me I was lying, that someone had used another screen name on my acct. and racked up several hours, to the tune of an extra $87. in charges. I tried to argue that no one had access or MY permission to use MY acct. It didn't matter, I was still liable for this charge. If I wanted to contest the charges, I would have to WRITE A LETTER to the main office, they didn't have an E-MAIL address to write to. Then they convinced me to go with a lower priced plan, that gave me fewer dial up minutes, I had t]]></summary>

<title>America Online customer service tip from SLRNUTS</title>

<summary type="html" ><![CDATA[America Online tip: I had AOL for 8 years all of a sudden I have been cancelled. I called AOL, the person on the other end says she can't help me. The only thing she can say is my account has been sent to the Consumer Action Team (CAT), she gave me an address and told me I have would have to write them to get any information. What's CAT? Well, she couldn't tell me. I looked it up and apparently it's where they send your account information when you have violated the Terms of Service (TOS). How can this be? I've been a loyal customer for so long. I have paid my bill with no problems. I get no warnings, no sorry but, nothing. It's as if I didn't exist as far they go. Oh, by the way, I wrote to the CAT. It's been nearly 2 months and I haven't heard anything.]]></summary>
