Acer Computer rating from customer: 4.0 out of 5: Good. Comments from customer: Once your computer is out of warranty, you're technically not allowed to get phone support. So the directions work up until the answering service realizes you are out of warranty, and then it hangs up on you. However, in my case, I called the Acer store line first, and ended up with a case number to be given to a "level 2 manager." I tried the pay-for-support number and they were nice enough to transfer me directly to the non-pay support line, probably since I already had a case number. From there I again talked to someone in south asia (not very helpful) but once I got to the level 2 manager they were very helpful. It's incredibly easy to get to a real person through the Acer store number, but the person I talked to there was an idiot.

Acer Computer tip: After over four years with my Acer Aspire 3500; the time has arrived for me to put it to rest and re-invest in another computer. I could not, in all good conscience, do that without commenting on my relationship with my current computer. In a word "amazing"! This little powerhouse has operated, flawlessly for over four years; operating at least 10 - 12 hours a day! It has been assualted by drops and bangs; sticky fingers of a child; errant orange juice, coke and coffee...and STILL it kept on ticking (after only a light in-home cleaning).....it has expeienced, powerourages and power surges; viruses, heat and cold (I travelled a lot)...and STILL not a whisper of a problem.

However all good (wonderful thigs must come to an end, and this Acer is starting to show its age and beginning to get a bit 'fed-up' with the demands I place on it.....so I shall seek a replacement and send this little unit to my son and I know that after a re-hab, he will be able to enjoy its final days.
